From millimetres to pixels
Printed sizes are given in millimetres, portals ask for pixels, and the bridge between them is the print resolution. At 300 DPI — the normal standard for photo printing — one millimetre is about 11.8 pixels. So 40 × 60 mm becomes roughly 472 × 709 pixels, an aspect ratio of 0.667:1.
The tool above crops to the correct ratio and scales to that pixel size. If a portal asks for a specific file size as well, finish with the compressor.

Egypt passport photo — FAQ
What size is a Egypt passport photo?
40 × 60 mm, which is about 472 × 709 pixels at 300 DPI.
Can I take it with my phone?
You can, if the lighting is even and the background is plain. Face a window rather than a lamp, and keep the camera at eye level.
Does this tool upload my photo?
No. Cropping and resizing both happen in your browser — a passport photo never leaves your device.
Why is my application being rejected?
Usually the head height, the background shadow, or the file size. Check the official guidance from the Egyptian passport office.
