When people reach for this tool
Get your text back from a bit string
The inverse of encoding is occasionally needed when checking a pipeline.
Decode a value you found in a payload
Binary fragments often appear inside larger encoded strings.
Verify a value came through unchanged
Encoding then decoding should return the original; anything else means a bug.
Practical tips
- Grouping into bytes matters. Misaligned bits produce readable-looking nonsense rather than an error.
- Bytes above 127 are multi-byte UTF-8 sequences, so they must stay adjacent to be interpreted correctly.
What you get

Binary to Text — FAQ
Is my data safe?
Yes. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded to any server.
Is it really free?
Every Social-X tool is free, unlimited and works offline.
Why does binary come back as nonsense?
Usually the bits are not grouped into eight-bit bytes, or the bytes have been reordered. Non-ASCII characters also span more than one byte and must be kept together.
Does it accept binary without separators?
Yes. Spaces are optional and ignored, so both grouped and continuous strings work.
