When people reach for this tool

Get candidate tags from the caption you already wrote

The words you used are the tags your audience already associates with the topic.

Pull the keywords back out of a block of text

Long captions contain the terms you want as tags without you having to list them separately.

Generate several candidate lists for the same post

Different word lengths surface different parts of the vocabulary, which is useful when a post is aimed at more than one audience.

Practical tips

  • Very short words and common filler are skipped, because tags nobody searches for add noise rather than reach.
  • Use the count to stay within what the platform shows rather than filling every available slot.

What you get

  • Extracts the meaningful words from your text
  • Filters stop words and duplicates
  • Live output with configurable length
  • Click-to-select and copy

Hashtag Generator — FAQ

How are tags chosen?
Words are lowercased, stripped of punctuation, filtered for filler words and ranked by length and frequency, capped at your max.
Why avoid the word “the” in tags?
Generic words make tags harder to search and rank lower. Meaningful, specific tags (like #productlaunch instead of #the) perform better.
How are the tags chosen?
Words are scored by length and how often they appear, then the highest scoring ones are taken, skipping common filler words and anything below the minimum length.
Does using more tags help?
Not reliably. A smaller set of terms that genuinely match the post usually performs better than a long list of loosely related ones.
