About the Open Graph Preview

Preview a realistic social share card from your title, description and image URL, and copy the generated Open Graph tags for your page.

If a remote image is previewed, it is loaded directly by your browser from its source URL — Social-X never proxies it.

How to use the Open Graph Preview

  1. Step 1Fill in title, description and your site URL.
  2. Step 2Add an image URL with a clear square or landscape image.
  3. Step 3Watch the preview update live, then copy the generated tags.

When people reach for this tool

Check how a link will look in a chat or feed

Most platforms show nothing useful if the tags are missing or incomplete.

See how long the description will actually be

Cards truncate, and the preview shows you where the cut will land.

Find the tag a platform is missing

An image that fails to load is usually a wrong URL or an unreachable path.

Practical tips

  • Test the image URL on its own first. A card with a broken image looks worse than one with none.
  • The preview mirrors what a platform does with your input, but each one truncates at a slightly different length.

What you get

  • Realistic social share card preview
  • Live title, description, host and image rendering
  • Open Graph + Twitter tag generation
  • Clear note when remote images can’t be previewed

Open Graph Preview — FAQ

Why is my image not showing?
Browsers block some images due to hotlink protection, authentication or blocking responses. The tags Social-X generates are still correct — the preview is only a local simulation.
What size should the image be?
1200×630 pixels (1.91:1) is the standard for most platforms. For X/Twitter posts, 1200×675 also works well.
Which fields matter most?
Title, description and image. The site URL is used to work out which platform card layout applies.
