Likes plus comments, divided by followers, times 100 — the standard post-level formula. Averaging your last 10 posts gives a truer picture than any single post.
What is a good engagement rate on Instagram in 2026?
Between 1% and 3.5% is typical for most accounts, 3.5–6% is strong, and anything above 6% is top-tier. Very large accounts naturally sit lower.
Should Reel views count toward the rate?
Views measure reach, not interaction, so keep them separate. This tool shows the view rate on its own line instead of mixing it into the ER%.
